Introduction to Karting in New Zealand.
In New Zealand there are the following Sprint Classes: (Note: MAW means minimum all up weight).

JUNIOR CLASSES:
CADET: Drivers 7 years and under 12 years. (MAW 88 Kg.)
Rule D1.2 allows Cadets to race at Club Days when 6 years of age.
Eligible engine:- Raket 85 with Radne centrifugal clutch.
JUNIOR RESTRICTED 100cc YAMAHA: Drivers 10 years and under 14 years. (MAW 115 Kg.)
Eligible engine:- 100cc Yamaha KT100S with box muffler and centrifugal clutch.
JUNIOR 100cc YAMAHA: Drivers 12 years and under 17 years. (MAW 133 Kg.)
Eligible engine:- 100cc Yamaha KT100S. Clutch with maximum 6000 RPM engagement is optional.
JUNIOR CLUB SPORT 120: Drivers 12 years and under 17 years. (MAW 133 Kg) Non Championship Class.
Eligible engine Raket 120 with centrifugal clutch.
JUNIOR INTERCONTINENTAL A: Contested at CIK Trophy of New Zealand only: Drivers
12 years and under 17 years. (MAW 135 Kg.)
KF3: Drivers 12 years and under 17 years. (MAW 145 Kg.)
FORMULA JUNIOR: Drivers 12 years and under 17 years. (MAW dependant on engine type.)
